18 th Century Oak Longcase Clock 8 Day Brass Movement circa 1740 The brass dial with chapter ring engraved with fluer de lys , flanked by cast ormolu spandrels maker Thos Manks , believed to be a North Country Clock Maker, the oak clock case of diminutive proportions, and cross banded with thick hand cut yew tree veneers the trunk door with original contrasting sun burst inlaid motif. the hood with tiered caddy top , the dial door with attached pilasters and with gilded terminals The works complete with original or contemporary winding key . The clock is in very good condition given its 275 years age in common with the nature of Antique clocks we are unable to offer a guarantee with regard to the works , it has been working well , & probably would benefit from a service / overall and would require a clock maker to set it up in its news location . all mentioned for the sake of absolute accuracy .
